Beaufort Jazz

Great music – and you are invited!

Vernon Fuller to headline Monday 3rd May!

We are very pleased that Vernon has agreed to headline as our featured act for Monday 3rd May.  Many of you will be very familiar with Vernon’s superb Jazz guitar and vocal style and will look forward to seeing him  perform once again at Beaufort Jazz.  If Vernon is new to you, why not take a moment to visit his website at

Vernon at Alexanders

As you can see, Vernon is a very busy musician and we were delighted when he agreed  to open for us on the 3rd of May. Playing with a number of line ups he has supported such acts as Geno Washington, Snake Davis and Acoustic Alchemy.
Last year as the duo Twin Frets with guitarist Willy Fluss,  he supported the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at the annual summer classics in Southport’s Victoria Park. This was a great success and Twin Frets will support the Northern Chamber Orchestra this year at the same event.

We have recently learnt that Vernon is now working on some up and coming gigs in association with the radio station Jazz FM. As soon as we have more details we will let you know. In the meantime put the 3rd in your diary and make sure that you don’t miss a fine musician at work. Doors will open at 7,45 for a prompt 8pm start and as usual, entrance is only £1

Following Vernon we will have the pleasure of the many other excellent musicians who will entertain us with the usual gypsy jazz sessions until the evening closes at 10.30. No announcement would be complete without some update on the long running saga of the new stage and lighting. You will be very pleased to learn that new lighting has been purchased and will be unveiled on the 3rd. The  new stage is slightly more complex and may well be ready – though it is likely to be a very close call.

Look forward to seeing you all
