About Beaufort Jazz
Beaufort Jazz meets on the first Monday of every month to enjoy and celebrate Gypsy Jazz music as made famous by the late great Django Reinhardt.
Our venue is the superb Ellerbrook Suite at the Briars Hall Hotel in Burscough Lancashire.
The evening has developed as one of the premier gypsy jazz jam nights in the North of England and musicians travel from all parts of the region to play. If you are interested in playing why not contact us or just turn up on the evening to meet us.
In addition to our main stage in The Ellerbrook Suite we have other rooms (usually The Orangery) where you can practice or jam informally with other musicians.
Whilst we mainly celebrate gypsy jazz guitar we welcome other musical genres and instruments.
Beaufort Jazz is a not for profit organisation and is indebted to musicians and organisers who give their time freely in order for us to enjoy great live music.

Never heard Gypsy Jazz? Then click here to listen to magical Django playing one of the great Gypsy Jazz classics – Minor Swing. It’s probably more familiar than you thought? That’s because Minor Swing has been used many times on television.
Film goers may instantly recognise it as the sound track to the film Chocolat. The Johnny Depp version in the film can be found here.
